hemolytic anemia

Anemia resulting from the dissolution or destruction of red blood cells

Causes of hemolytic anemia:

  1. autoimmune dysfunction

  2. physical injuries

  3. other causes

Chinese herbs that can help produce red cells:

he shou wu, e jiao, dang gui, ji xue teng, shu di huang etc.

Avoid using these herbs: jin yin hua , ma huang, huang lian, borneol, la mei hua,  also vitamin K, broad bean (Vicia faba)

有刺激骨髓造紅细胞的中藥﹕

何 首 烏阿 膠 當 歸 雞血藤熟地黃

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency

葡萄糖-六-磷酸鹽去氫酵素缺乏症 (蚕豆症)

體內缺乏葡萄糖-六-磷酸鹽去氫 酵素者, 若接觸某些化學物質﹐藥物或食物,例如荼酚類物質(如樟腦丸)﹐冰片﹐或 使 用 黃 蓮 臘梅花﹐金銀花麻 黃, 維生素K﹐蠶豆等,紅血球的氧化還原過程就會受到干擾,紅血球變得不完整,血紅蛋白趨於不穩定,紅血球於是變得僵硬和脆弱,容易破裂而出現急性溶血性貧血﹐黃疸﹐重度血紅蛋白尿。病者有時會有惡心﹐嘔吐﹐腹痛﹐腹瀉﹐頭昏﹐頭痛﹐食慾不振﹐全身無力等症狀,嚴重時甚至有生命危險。
