藥理﹕

Medical Functions:

1. anti viral

2. anti leptospirosis

3. anti fungal

4. relaxes the bronchial smooth muscles, expels phlegm, and suppresses asthma and cough

5. lower blood pressure and lipids

6. stops bleeding in external injuries

7. inhibits pain

8. astringent

9. anti inflammatory

10.  antibiotic, like:  Pseudomonas aeruginosa，Staphylococcus aureaus，Moraxella (Branhamella), catarrhalis，Streptococcal，Escherichia coli.

藥理﹕

1。抗病毒

2。抗鉤端螺旋體 (leptospirosis)﹐

4。鬆弛支氣管平滑肌，而達鎮咳平喘, 袪痰止咳
5。降血壓及降血脂之作用

6。對外傷出血有明顯的止血作用

7。鎮痛

10。抗菌﹕如綠膿桿菌 Pseudomonas aeruginosa，金黃色葡萄球菌Staphylococcus aureaus， 卡他球菌 Moraxella (Branhamella) catarrhalis，鏈球菌 Streptococcal，大腸桿菌Escherichia coli,等

For jaundice, gall bladder stones, blood stasis with menses stoppage, yeast infection, rheumatoid arthritis, physical injuries from impacts, inflammation of the bronchi, lobar pneumonia, poisonous snake bites, scalding injuries, acute hepatitis, urinary tract infection, boils, stoppage of menses due to heat in the blood, breast cancer, menopausal bleeding disorder.

黃疸，膽結石，經閉瘀阻, 帶下，風濕痛，跌扑損傷，支氣管炎，大葉性肺炎, 毒蛇咬傷，燙火傷，急性肝炎，尿道感染，瘡癤腫毒，血熱經閉，乳癰，崩漏。

根和根莖含游離蔥昆及恩昆貳，主要為

用量﹕

每日10～20公克；濃縮中藥：每日0.5～2.0公克。

(1) For vaginal yeast infection: hu zhang 100g, water 1500 cc. Simmer down to 1000 cc. Strain. Cold down to bath water temperature. Use for sitting bath. Use 10 to 15 minutes, once a day. 7 days is one therapy cycle. Treated 30 patients. All healed.

(1) 真菌性陰道炎：虎杖根100g，加水1500ml，煎取1000ml，過濾，待溫，坐浴10～15分鐘，每日1次，7日為1療程，治療30例，全部臨床治愈。

Advances in research on 3,4′,5-trihydrostilbene-3-β-D-glucoside,an effective component from Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc

Abstract

  The advances in recent 10 years in research on 3,4′,5-trihydrostilbene-3-β-D-glucoside (polydatin), a effective component from Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc., were summarized in this paper. The actions of polydatin, such as preventing thrombosis from arterial endothelial damage, improving microcirculation and increasing survival rate of shocked rats, alleviating tissueorgan damage induced by ischemia-reperfusion, oxygen free radical and endotoxin, decreasing hyperlipemia, suppressing lipid peroxide and so on were evaluated. The review displays the pharmacologic base of polydatin in treatment of thrombotic diseases and improvement of microcirculation in shock, which enable polydatin to become a new characteristic drug.
