Properties (characteristics)﹕ 性味﹕	bitter, slightly sweet, warm and nontoxic. 味苦﹐微甘，性溫﹐無毒。

Medical functions: 藥理﹕	Medical functions: Decoction of Millettia Dielsiana Harms   (山雞血藤) or Spatholobus suberectus Dunn (密花豆), showed that it could improve the anemia condition (created in laboratory) of rabbits and possessed anti-inflammatory effect. Small amount can enhance the rhythmic contraction of the uteri of rabbits, and in larger amount the effect is even stronger. Conceived uteri are sensitive. Decoction of Millettia Dielsiana (山雞血藤) can inhibit Staphylococcus aureus Decoction of Millettia Dielsiana (山雞血藤) enhance the function of macrophages and improve immune system. Inhibits platelet coagulation caused by adenosine diphosphate (in vitro), thus lower the vaso-resistance and improved the circulation of the coronary arteries and the circulation in the thigh. improved the low white cell count of lab mice caused by  cyclophosphamide  (環磷醯胺). 藥理﹕ 密花豆及山雞血藤煎劑對實驗性貧血的家兔均有補血作用，有抗炎作用。 小劑量能增強子宮節律性收縮，較大劑量收縮更顯著，已孕子宮較未孕子宮敏感。 山雞血藤煎劑體外試驗對金黃葡萄球菌有抑制作用。 增強巨噬細胞功能。增強免功能。 對環磷醯胺所致的小白鼠白血球細胞下降有顯著的治療作用。 在體外能抑制二磷腺甘或膠原誘導的血小板聚集。降低血管阻力，如能增加離體免心冠脈血流量﹐股動脈的血流量等。

Dosage: 用量﹕	10 to 20 g. Concentrate extract 0.5 ~ 2 g. 10～20克；濃縮中藥：0.5～2 克。
Samples of formulae :處方舉例﹕	For blood stasis: ji xue teng, hong hua, chuan xiong , xiang fu For blood deficient: ji xue teng,  shu di huang, dang gui. 瘀滯者，配 紅花﹐川 芎﹐香附子﹐等以活血化瘀調經。 血虛者，配 熟地黃﹐當 歸, 等以養血調經。
