Name of formula: xi jiao di huang tang
Application:
Anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory,
antipyretic, and toxins, and promote blood clotting.
It is mainly used for leukemia, acute liver
atrophy jaundice, acute hepatitis, toxic hepatitis, epidemic cerebro-spinal
meningitis, typhus, hepatic coma, typhoid fever, gastric ulcer, duodenal
ulcer, uremia, sepsis, burns, disseminated intravascular coagulation ,
with bleeding ulcer disease, glaucoma, iridocyclitis, scleritis,
anterior chamber hemorrhage, anterior chamber empyema, asphalt
dermatitis, etc., Symptoms include: night fever, delirium or coma, or
rash Zihei, dry mouth, not wanting to swallow water but like to
rinse mouth with water or showing sign of heat in blood with purple-red
tongue, rapid pulse.
藥方名: 犀角地黃湯 來源 備急千金要方
犀角3克，生地黃 25克，芍藥 9克， 牡丹皮 6克。
以上四味，以水三碗，煎成一碗，分次三服。喜妄如狂者，加大黃二兩，黃芩三兩；其人脈大來遲，腹不滿自言滿者，為無熱，但依方不須加也。
【功效】
清熱解毒，涼血散瘀。
主治:
抗菌，消炎，退熱，中和毒素，促進凝血。主要用於白血病、急性黃疸肝萎縮、急性肝炎、中毒性肝炎、流行性腦脊膜炎、斑疹傷寒、肝昏迷、腸傷寒、胃潰瘍、十
二指腸潰瘍尿毒症、敗血症、燒傷、瀰散性血管內凝血、潰瘍病合併出血、青光眼、虹膜睫狀體炎、鞏膜炎、眼前房積血、眼前房積膿、瀝青皮炎等，見身熱夜甚，
或神昏譫語，或斑疹紫黑，口乾渴喜漱水不欲咽，或見血熱表現，舌絳，脈細數者。
【附方說明】
現代用水牛角代犀牛角，方名清熱涼血湯。
