Experience of Joe H. K. Chu in

Teaching Medical Qigong 

 

 

1960-1962 Operated an injury clinic in Medan, Sumatra.
1962-1963 Practised injury medicine in Hong Kong.
1967-Present Teaches Qigong and practises Qigong therapy at the Academy of Shaolin System in Redwood City, CA.
1994-Present Teaches Qigong and continued education for registered nurses for the city of Palo Alto, co-sponsored by the Qigong Institute.
1996 Presented a paper on “Using Wai Qi and Qigong training to treat asthma by affecting the adreno-cortical hormone, cAMP and cGMP” at the World Medical Qigong conference, in Beijing, China.
1996 -Present Teaches Medical Qigong and continued education for licensed acupuncturists and  registered nurses for American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine , co-sponsored by the Qigong Institute, classes organized by City of Palo Alto.
1997 Taught Qigong for SRI International, Menlo Park, CA.
1997 Guest lecturer for the California Institute of Integral Studies Ph.D. class.
1997 Qigong instructor for the health improvement program at the Stanford Center for Research in Disease Prevention, Stanford University School of Medicine.
1998-Present Teaches qigong for members and patients of Jennifer Prongos Acupuncture Clinic, San Francisco, CA
