bai hua gao 百花膏

Name of Formula: bai hua gao (Re-edited Yan Shi Ji Sheng Fang)

Application: for chronic cough or phlegm with blood.

Composition: kuan dong hua,  bai he (steamed and baked), equal amount of each

Grind into fine powder and make into pills with refined honey. Make into sizes of long yan (long gan) fruit. (about the size of a marble)

Use one pill after meals. chew it or take it before bed, with ginger decoction. (a few slices of raw ginger simmer in 2 to 3 cups of water for about 20 to 30 minutes)

【處方】款冬花， 百 合（蒸，焙）各等分。

【制法】上為細末，煉蜜為丸，如龍眼大。

【功能主治】治喘嗽不已，或痰中帶血。（咳嗽、痰血）

【用法用量】飯後每服1丸。臨臥細嚼，姜汁咽下或噙化。
