Classification Amyloids

Amyloid is protein consisted primarily of protein fibers that possesses
the characteristic of starch.
It is waxy, translucent, and is deposited in various organ of animals in
certain diseases
Today the classification of amyloid is based on biochemistry.
Amyloid is represented by a capital A. Then the letters that follow the
"A" denotes the type of fiber protein.
