Joe
Hing Kwok Chu, the instructor, is a master of qigong. He has been teaching in
the U.S. since 1967, and for many
years
before that in his native Asia. He studied qigong, kung fu, and tai chi chuan
with a broad range of famous
teachers.
He began qigong study in 1951 at Pao's Spiritual Institution in Hong Kong,
where he was distinguished in
different
schools of qigong. He learned injury medicine as an apprentice before studying
the full breadth of Chinese
medicine
in medical school in Hong Kong, where he graduated with honors.
Master
Chu also offers private classes in qigong, basing the program of instruction on
each person's particular
condition,
at his Academy of Shaolin System.
