Hypertension can be classified into 4 categories:

1. gan yang shang kang 肝陽上亢型

2. yinxu with fire  陰虚火旺型

3. gan shen yin xu (liver-kidney yin deficient) 肝腎陰虚型

4. yin yang both deficient 陰陽兩虛型

和內風、blood stasis、痰阻3個兼証。

Folk Formulas

For treatment of neurasthenia, vertigo, sequelae from concussion, palpitation, insomnia, hypertension, cirrhosis with edema:

Prescription:

luo bu ma 3 to 9 g. Pour in boiling water and use as tea.
