Vertigo After Influenza 感冒痊癒後眩晕 Translated and edited by: Joe Hing Kwok Chu
Syndrome: after influenza is over, the patients gradually develops dizziness and blurry vision. Things seem to be spinning and more so as days go by. Sometimes it subsides. The the vertigo attacks, the patients cannot turn their heads. Steps are insecure and there is need to be lying still. Sight movements can intensify the vertigo. Limbs feel heavy. Mouths are sticky and lack of appetite. Fur of tongues is white and oily. Pulse is slow and soft. Prescription: Name of formula: sheng yang chu shi fang feng tang with adjustment Composition: cang zhu, bai zhu, 7.5 g each, fu ling, bai zhu, fang ji, fa ban xia, ，shen qu, 10 g each﹐fang feng, hou pu, chen pi, 6 g, sha ren 3 g（put in during the last minutes）。 Add about 1,000 c.c. of water and put in all herb except sha ren. Simmer till about 400 cc and add sha ren and simmer for another minute. Use as tea.
感冒痊癒後，但逐漸出現頭暈目眩，視物旋轉，且日見加重，時作時止。眩暈發作時，頭項不能轉側，行走有
輕飄飄感，需靜臥於床，稍活動即眩暈加甚，肢體困重，口粘膩，食慾不振，舌苔白厚膩，脈濡緩。 處方： 升陽除濕防風湯加味 李東垣﹕《 脾胃論,腸澼下血論》 砂仁 3 克（後下）。
