First, sorry that there was a typo in my previous email where there was an extra Chinese character came up because I was using Google ime input:
"胡服射騎"。 The word 馬 was inserted.
Back to the real issue. The idea of "Divide and conquer.“ Is still being used by the crooked politicians acting as tools for their bosses, the big oil and mining corporations.
Winston Churchill put the 3 long term enemies, the Kurds, the Sunni Arabs, the Shi'ite Arab into an area, today's Iraq. The fights and tensions among the groups make it easier for the crooks to control them.
My young lady, whose doctorate dissertation in racial inequality and discrimination. was in Rwanda couple years ago. She told me in Rwanda the Tutsis and Hutus speak the same language and are of the same race. It was the Belgium colonists created the 2 groups, by artificially classifying them according to their wealth, on how many cows they possessed. The richer ones are classified as Tutsis and the poorer ones as Hutu and issued identification cards for them. That created the conflicts among the same people and resulted millions get killed while the western countries just sitting idling. There is no oil there, just like Congo where million were killed and many were maimed with hands and/or feet chopped off.
The conflicts in Sudan is about oil. The 75 percent of the oil lies in the south. The big oil companies wanted the south to be separated, so the southern part become independent and it is now South Sudan.
Libya has oil. It is also "liberated". Now it is Syria's turn.
China, traditionally, the people are very nationalistic. They do not give up easily. If the big oil companies want Tibet and Xinjiang bad enough, we, American citizens will have to cut down our standard of living to fund their cost of externalization, the wars.
