For treatment of shenyangxu (kidney yang deficient): Prescription: xue lian 5 g, qi zi 5 g, hong hua 3 g. Rinse. wrap in cheese cloth and make chicken soup with a double boiler. Simmer or 2 to 3 hours. It also can be used for making rice wine extract as in method #1. l，風濕及類風濕性關節炎 ，肩周炎及老年性腰腿痛：
雪蓮20克，枸杞子，紅 花各10克，白酒2500毫升，密封浸泡15日。日服二次 ，每次10-20毫升。 2，婦人月經不調，月經痛及月經痛引起的腰背痛，小腹冷痛：
雪蓮5克，枸杞子，紅 花各2克，水煎服．日服二次。 3，因寒濕(陽虛與脾 虛 引起的胃寒 ，胃痛等症：
雪蓮5克，紅 棗 30克，枸杞子10克，洗凈燉雞肉食用。
4，男子陽萎 ，不育症：
雪蓮6克，當 歸3克，枸杞子10克，水煎服，日服一次。
5，調經補血 ，滋陰補腎：
雪蓮，枸杞子各5克，紅 花2克，洗凈沙布袋包扎，燉雞肉食用。 也可泡酒，使用方法同 1。
6，溫腎壯陽 (腎陽虛)，補中益氣：
雪蓮，枸杞子各5克， 紅花3克，洗凈沙布袋包扎，燉雞肉食用。 文火2－3小時後食用。
也可泡酒，使用方法同 1。

Over dosage can cause heavy sweating. The variety da bao xue lian is toxic.
